Novartis Federal Credit Union
was organized over 60 years ago in January, 1947. It is a non-profit, cooperative financial institution that promotes savings and provides a fund from these savings to make loans to its members..

The mission of the Credit Union is to provide the highest quality professional services to each member.

Our Credit Union is a non-profit organization which is owned and operated by its members, who elect a Board of Directors annually. As a member of Novartis Federal Credit Union, you have a say in how you receive financial services.

Net Income is distributed to the membership in the form of dividends. Historically, the Credit Union's Dividend Rates are paid well above current rates for similar products. In addition, our Loan Rates are normally below market rates for similar products.

Financial Information

Credit Union operations are audited regularly by the Supervisory Committee and by unscheduled visits of the federal examiners who check on all aspects of operations.

The National Credit Union Administration regulates and examines our Credit Union. In addition, they maintain and insure your funds up to $250,000 for a single account and up to $1,000,000 for joint accounts through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. IRA Accounts are insured up to $250,000. During the past few years, your credit union has earned the highest rating available, demonstrating excellence in sound financial strength. The Board of Directors is elected annually by the membership at the Annual Meeting. They serve rotating 3 year terms. These individuals are highly committed volunteers. The success of our Credit Union can be directly attributed to the dedication of these individuals.

The all volunteer Supervisory Committee is appointed by the Board of Directors. The function of the Supervisory Committee is to watch over the Board and Staff to ensure safety and soundness of the Credit Union. It is their responsibility to conduct and oversee the audits and examinations of the Credit Union.

The all volunteer Credit Committee is elected by the membership at the Annual Meeting. Their responsibilities include the overseeing of loan approvals and disbursements. Many hours are devoted to the Credit Union membership by each of these individuals. They work closely with the office staff in providing the membership with prompt responses on loan applications.
